Secure the MW before you sign the site

Interconnection timelines, grid capacity, and tariff structure constrain data center growth in Mexico more than land or capital do. MEP models the fastest reliable route to power for your site, with no tie to any equipment vendor or supplier, and documents it so your capital committee can approve on the numbers.

Two questions at the center

An almost constant load puts two questions at the center. The first is whether the site can secure power on a schedule that matches deployment. The second is what each megawatt costs under GDMTH once demand, power factor, and time-of-use are counted.

Interconnection sets the schedule

Utility interconnection moves through a longer, more centralized review, and securing a transformer and energizing a site can take many months before a developer has construction certainty.

Evidence to connectRequested MW, point of connection, utility correspondence

Parks were not built for multi-megawatt loads

Industrial parks laid out for a few hundred kilowatts per hectare were never built for AI and cloud loads, so developers end up solving generation, substation capacity, and grid access together rather than as separate line items.

Everyone offering help sells something

An integrator, a generation developer, a qualified supplier: each arrives with a preferred answer. An operator needs analysis whose only interest is the operator's.

What we measure

MEP starts from the load and the site, not from a product. Where storage or generation improves the economics, MEP sizes it against your actual load and the local tariff, models the return, and writes a vendor-ready scope. MEP does not install it and holds no relationship with anyone who does.

Interconnection feasibility

Assess available grid capacity in the corridor, substation and transmission proximity, and the realistic timeline to energization against your deployment plan.

First lookSite coordinates, target corridor, phased capacity schedule

Tariff and supply comparison

Model utility and qualified supply options against the deployment schedule, with contract, basis, and volume exposure visible rather than buried.

First lookTariff class, interval data, supply proposals

Chiller plant and PUE

For live facilities, evaluate chiller plant performance against ASHRAE 211 and isolate the peak demand and power factor cost drivers in the CFE billing structure.

First lookDesign load, capacity schedule, SCADA and chiller data

Storage and generation sizing

Size storage against the real load and tariff, model payback and IRR, and compare owning the asset against contracting it through a service or lease structure.

First lookCritical load list, redundancy basis, single-line diagram

Who approves what

Identified savings modeled from measured data are kept separate from savings verified under an IPMVP protocol, so finance books only what has been proven and treats the rest as pipeline.

Decision ownerQuestion to answerMEP output
CFO and treasury

What is the cost per delivered MWh, and does the model survive external audit?

Traceable assumptions with verified and modeled savings kept separate

Development and real estate

Can this site reach design capacity on schedule?

Interconnection and grid-capacity analysis with a dependency register

Critical facilities and engineering

Does the electrical and cooling design hold under load, and what happens to PUE?

Measures scoped around live operation, every setpoint held

HSE and procurement

Is electrical and storage work compliant, and are bids comparable?

Scopes to NOM-001-SEDE for ISO 45001 execution, fixed-price bids on identical terms

Delivered data center engagement22.4%

total energy bill reduction, verified over 12 months under IPMVP

A Tier 1 hyperscale facility in the Querétaro region cut its total energy bill by 22.4%, about USD $418,000 a year, through chiller plant optimization and battery storage. PUE moved from 1.62 to 1.44 and monthly peak demand fell from a 3,200 kW baseline to an average of 2,780 kW.

These outcomes reflect that facility's tariff class, load profile, and baseline condition. Individual results vary by site, and MEP does not guarantee specific savings.

10-day power feasibility model

MEP needs site coordinates and the target corridor, the design load and phased capacity schedule, and for live facilities the operating profile of the load and chiller plant. Detailed consumption and SCADA data are requested after the first conversation, under NDA.

Management outputs
  • Interconnection and grid-capacity analysis for the corridor
  • Modeled tariff and supply comparison for the load
  • Peak demand, power factor, and PUE analysis for live sites
  • Sized storage or generation option with modeled return

Start with the site

Send site coordinates and your load requirements. An MEP advisor will provide a written reply within 1 business day and a scoped proposal. Interconnection feasibility is most valuable before a site is committed, because it can rule a location out against your deployment timeline.

Lori C. Procurement Manager, Global Auto Parts Supplier

The energy study was very well done and delivered real results. The team took the time to understand how our plant actually operates and provided clear, practical recommendations.

Ismael H. Plant Manager, Global Mining Company

The support we received on our Power Purchase Agreement was excellent. The team conducted a detailed and professional review.
